Nintendo has some good news for Splatoon 3 fans. They’re rolling out a new update, Version 5.1.0, later this week. This update jazzes up the Splatoween Splatfest and makes a bunch of changes to the game.

For the Splatfests, they’re adding some fresh info about the Splatoween event. And for multiplayer fun, they’re tweaking the Mahi-Mahi Resort landscape in all modes. They’ve also made a few changes to the main and sub-weapons.

Talking about main weapons, the Splattershot Jr. will let you move faster while shooting. The L-3 Nozzlenose and H-3 Nozzlenose will deal less damage as you shoot longer. Plus, the S-BLAST ’92 is now a bit more ink-efficient, and the Carbon Roller and Splat Roller can hit a wider area when they swing.

As for special weapons, the Killer Wail 5.1 packs more punch, the Kraken Royale is speedier, the Trizooka’s explosions won’t hurt as much, and the Tenta Missiles won’t explode as widely.

They’ve also fixed some hiccups in the game, like issues with Brella recovery, shots bouncing oddly from the Angle Shooter, pesky bomb and Sprinkler overlaps, and odd stuff happening after the Crab Tank effect wears off.

So, in a nutshell, this update for Splatoon 3 brings some cool stuff to amp up the Splatfest and multiplayer fun. You’ll find better weapon stats, changes to special weapons, and fixes to a bunch of control and multiplayer problems. And they’re cooking up more goodies for the mid-November update with Deep Cut Amiibo data.
